1st Floor Deconstruction Preview

3 half days to get rid of most of the first floor (paneling, carpet, cardboard kitchen walls, kitchen drop ceiling and cardboard ceiling, insulation, giant wasps nest, etc)
IMGP0097
The bones seem to be in much better shape than expected, and hardwood floors look salvageable (too scared to rip up the kitchen floor justtttt yettt) IMGP0094
Found the original fireplace (ripped some of the paneling off closing night, but really dug into it here) IMGP0098

Living Room Progess

1: Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of the full room before we ripped the paneling off to see of the fireplace was there (that happened closing night, post- champagne)
Living01-a

2: Unfinished wood was where the structural engineer had the owner replace buckled paneling. They were also to repair the corner of the floor left of the windows, but they just put some plywood under the carpet. I looked up his liscense, and it exists, but would not suggest Jeffrey D. Oinonen, P.E. of JDO Engineering, LLC for any of your structural needs...

3: Left doorway goes to the entryway then dining area, right opening leads to the steps and kitchen.

1: Old fireplace in the dining room. The house had previously been purchase from a woman who had lived there most of her life, then the owner turned it into bunch of rental units for drillers. Dining01-a
